The new Gran Turismo Sport has been officially announced, with Sony and Polyphony Digital revealing the first trailer of the popular racing video game.

The latest installment of the Gran Turismo series will be released on November 15, 2016 for the PS4 platform, featuring a full lineup of 140 vehicles, including original to the franchise cars, 19 circuits and 27 layouts to choose from.

This will be also the first time that the franchise partners with the FIA, with players eligible to a ‘FIA Gran Turismo Digital License’ after completing a specific set of achievement in the game. So far 22 countries have expressed their interest in participating in the program, with Sony saying that their digital license will hold the same value as a real life license, although we don’t know how this will work exactly.

The new racing game wants to offer a true immersive experience, with Sony making it compatible with the Playstation VR headset, which is also due to be launched this October.

Gran Turismo designer Kazunori Yamauchi said that every car in the game has been designed from scratch, with every one of them to feature a view from the cabin. The game will also offer numerous options for customisation, including a livery editor for creating a unique appearance for your virtual race cars.
