Caravaggio isn’t a name that pops up when you talk about custom tunes outside hardcore Corvette enthusiasts, but the Canadian boutique shop has been around since 1986 serving the ‘Vette community and this is one of their coolest projects.
Caravaggio offers more of a luxurious European take on customizing with emphasis on hand crafted interiors and this is evident from the Corvette Z06 Convertible that was individualized from top to bottom.
Unlike the black Corvette Z06 Coupe you see below featuring the brand’s Stage 3 carbon fiber spoiler kit that was shown last week, the more comprehensively tuned convertible Z06 isn’t new, as it was completed last summer.
For starters, see that color? You can’t have it from the factory as it’s a full-body custom paint-job, with Caravaggio calling it ‘Ferrari Averio’ – it looks suspiciously similar to this tailor-made Ferrari FF from 2012. It also gets a Stage 2 aero kit painted in a contrasting matte black and the company’s own vented hood and grille, while under the hood improvements include an E-Force supercharger, ported heads and an upgraded cam.
But the real magic happens inside where Caravaggio customized just about every surface available with stitched leather and Alcantara, and matching carbon fiber trimmings and accents. In the process, the tuner turned the Corvette Z06 Convertible’s cabin into something that has nothing to envy from exotic Italian or German rides – and yes, in our eyes and at least from these pictures, as one can never be absolute without seeing and feeling it in person, it looks that good.
