It seems like we’re getting “leaked” pictures of Porsche’s next-generation Panamera every other day lately, but none have proven to be real, and we believe that’s the case with this image too.

The low-res picture surfaced on Vince Burlapp’s Burlappcar page before being picked up by other sites like Jalopnik who aren’t entirely sure, but think it could be the real deal providing us with the “first glimpse” of the Panamera II.

We’re going to disagree, not only because the source site does not elaborate on where it got the picture from, despite slabbing their watermark on it, but mainly because the image looks fake: from the shadows on the hood, behind the windshield and around the car that all look wrong, to the positioning of the steering wheel, the alloy wheels and the absence of the secondary glass pane on the rear quarter window.

The author may have doctored any of the many existing and for the most part, camo-free spy shots of the Panamera that are freely circulating on the net. That said, and even though we think this image is Photoshoped, it should be very close to the real thing that will be revealed later this year.
