As the company’s flagship saloon model, the S8 plus is one seriously capable luxury hauler thanks to its 605 PS V8 petrol unit.
The 4.0-liter engine also produces 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque which helps the car get from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.8 seconds. This is where McChip-DKR’s Stage 3 tuning pack comes in, ramping power output and torque figures to a whooping 789 PS (778hp) at 6,600 rpm to go with the 927 Nm (683 lb-ft) of torque, peaking at 4,500 rpm.
The tuner needed to strap on their mc780 turbocharger and a Capristo exhaust system in order to complete the build, which took just 4 days to finish.
Unfortunately, they haven’t released any acceleration or top speed figures, but we reckon it will easily beat those 3.8 seconds when sprinting to 100 km/h (62mph). By comparison, ABT’s S8 plus tune took the German super-saloon to 705 PS, which resulted in a sprint time of 3.5 seconds and an unrestricted top speed of 320 km/h (199 mph).
Safe to say this thing should be a bit faster than that.
