If you want your Huayra a bit spicier and couldn’t get the limited BC version, the company’s new Tempesta pack will get you covered.
Originally revealed at the Geneva Motor Show, the optional Pacchetto Tempesta kit is all about performance increase. Pagani has left the AMG-supplied 6.0-litre V12 well alone, at 730hp and 1,000Nm (737lb ft) of torque, focusing instead on driving dynamics.
The package consists of a new underfloor aero agenda which includes more aggressive front and rear diffusers, a set of larger and lighter forged aluminium wheels -measuring 20in up front and 21in at the rear-, a very trick set of four-way Ohlins shock absorbers and a new titanium exhaust. The latter is said to be 40 per cent lighter than the standard item, weighing just 7kg (15.4lb), with the wheels saving an extra 2.2kg (5lb) at the front axle and another 5kg (11lb) at the back.
Existing Huayra owners are able to retrofit their cars with the new package at a price of 160,000 euros plus taxes.
The Supercar Driver channel had the chance to have a look at the new performance option as it was fitted to Pagani’s own development Huayra with has over 250,000 miles(!) on it.
No matter how fast the latest crop of hybrid hypercars is, the simpler approach of the Huayra has its own, distinct allure…
