Not wanting to miss out on the increased demand in crossovers and SUVs, Seat will add a second sub-compact model to its range next year.
Confirmed by the brand’s President Luca de Meo at a gathering in Barcelona where Seat presented its strategy and future plans to its global dealer network, the vehicle, the name of which remains unknown at this time, will follow the Ateca as the brand’s second SUV.
“With the Ateca, the company is launching a product offensive that will expand and strengthen the model lineup. Thanks to the Ateca and its little brother, the crossover we’re going to launch next year, SEAT will be present in the segments showing the highest growth in the market“, de Meo explained, without providing further details on the upcoming model.
The Seat Ateca is produced in Mlada Boleslav in the Czech Republic, at the Kvasiny facility that will build Skoda’s Kodiaq as well, following its reveal at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, this October.
