Visitors to the Goodwood Festival of Speed will get to see the revamped GT-R for the first time, as Godzilla will mark its first dynamic appearance on the famous hillclimb.

Taking it up the 1.16-mile (1.86 km) long course will be NISMO racing driver Briton Jann Mardenborough, who is the current record-holder for the fastest supercar time on the hillclimb, of 49.27 seconds, set in 2014 in a GT-R NISMO N-Attack.

Launched at the New York Auto Show earlier this year, the new GT-R has received its most extensive redesign yet, enhanced handling and an extra 20 HP squeezed from the 3.8-liter V6, to a total of 565 HP, channeled to all four corners through an updated 6-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

When it will go on sale in Europe’s right-hand drive market, the 2017 Nissan GT-R will carry a price tag of £79,995 ($113,300) in the cheapest model, while the Prestige will set you back for £82,495 ($116,850) and the Track edition variant, tweaked by NISMO, will start from £91,995 ($130,300).

The 592 HP, hardcore NISMO will also celebrate its UK premiere at the brand’s stand alongside the standard version.
