Nissan has enhanced the Maxima for the 2017 MY, which is on sale at dealers nationwide.
Available in five grades, it starts from $32,560 in the base S level, which sees the addition of standard Apple CarPlay connectivity, working together with the NissanConnect and an 8.0-inch touchscreen display, joining the Sirius XM satellite radio and Travel Link apps, voice recognition and two front illuminated USB ports. It also has a “swipe to meter” functionality, allowing the driver to swipe the navi map form the center display to the 7-inch instrument cluster.
Other novelties for the new model year include the addition of the Medallion and Dynamic packages, for the Platinum and SV grades, respectively. Both of them benefit from 18-inch wheels, rear spoiler and illuminated kick plates; the former also has interior accent lighting and the latter brings side rocker molding. The packages join the Midnight Edition, which enhances the SR grade with a spoiler, rear diffuser and 19-inch gloss black wheels.
The wide range of features available on the range-toping Maxima Platinum, which kicks off from $39,990, include NissanConnect with Navigation and Services, automatic collision notification, remote start via smartphone, emergency call and stolen vehicle locator. Power across the range comes from a 3.5-liter V6 engine, rated at 300 HP, working together with an Xtronic transmission.
