Even though it’s always nice to get real-life confirmations regarding just how fast new additions to the automotive world are (like the Bentayga), going up against a 911 Turbo is suicide, especially one with 800 PS.
Among SUVs, the Bentayga would make for a formidable foe, regardless of what you’re throwing against it. It’s got a 608 PS (599 HP) 6.0-liter W12 engine that also sends 900 Nm (663 lb-ft) of torque to all four wheels.
It will sprint to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.1 seconds and max out at a highly impressive (for such a heavy car) 301 km/h (187 mph). Those figures also happen to be…not as good as the 911 Turbo’s, which can hit 100 km/h in 3 seconds flat even when stock, to go with its top speed of 320 km/h (198 mph).
The Turbo (sans the ‘S’) weighs 770 kg (1,697 lbs) less than the Bentayga, so anybody with any knowledge about how things work in drag racing circles should safely assume this race ends in a blow out.
On top of that, this is no regular 991 as it’s got a Gosha Turbo Tech power kit, raising its output to 800 PS (789 HP) which ironically doesn’t do anything in terms of influencing the results. Porsche still wins.
Also, its 1/4 mile and 1/2 mile times weren’t exactly hypercar-worthy but they weren’t all that far off either.
