Previewed by the EXP 10 Speed 6 concept last year, Bentley’s range could expand with two new vehicles.
Nothing has been decided yet, butaccording to AutomotiveNews, citing the brand’s CEO, Wolfgang Durheimer, claims that we should expect a two-door coupe and, possibly, even a roadster.
“We are readying the concept for a decision. It would come as a two-door coupe, but a roadster is possible as well, and it would be launched after the next Continental” Durheimer said.
The statement follows a previous announcement that refers to a limited production number of the 2014 Grand Convertible concept, which will be based on the Mulsanne and hit the market in just 20 units. With a price tag of roughly £1 million ($1.5 million), the car could be introduced in two years time.
Bentley’s future lineup includes a replacement for the Mulsanne, which will lose its 6.75-liter V8 engine in favor of a twin-turbo W12.
The VW-owned brand has already expanded its vehicle family with the introduction of the Bentayga, the manufacturer’s first SUV. It was presented last year in Frankfurt, built on a modified version of the MLB-Evo platform, found on the latest Audi Q7, and it’s the production version of the EXP 9 F Concept.
