Available in three base grades, Cooper, Cooper S and JCW, the new MINI Convertible celebrates summer with its open top view of the sky.

The cheapest model can be had from $25,950 MSRP, but that means missing out on one of the eight metallic paints, which costs $500, or the Union Jack roof graphics, priced at an additional $500. Add the Fully Loaded Package from the options list, for $5,000, and the JCW Interior Package, for a $600 premium, and you will have to pay $33,400.

With a base price of $29,600, the sportier MINI Cooper S Convertible offers the same standard and optional features as its lesser sibling, although the Fully Loaded package is now $250 cheaper and the JCW Interior Package costs $400. Spec it with a Metallic paint and you’ve just configured a $29,600 version.

The most sought-after MINI Convertible is also the most powerful one. With 228 HP sitting at its disposal, the John Cooper Works carries a starting price of $35,600 and can be finished in one of the five non-metallic paints or one of the seven metallic ones. These are joined by the numerous exterior standard and optional customization options, along with the Technology and Premium packages, available for an extra $1,750 and $1,800, respectively. Throw in a set of 18-inch wheels instead of the 17-inch standard ones and the dealer will ask you to pay $42,650.
