While normally used to opponents that shoot tennis balls back at him, Andy Murray had to figure out a way to hit a target hanging off the back of some really fast Jags.

In this challenge, Murray squared off against tennis legend John McEnroe at Thruxton Motorsports Center and went on to play a highly competitive game in which Jaguar threw in the likes of the XE saloon, the F-TYPE SVR and even their new Formula E race car.

“Trying to find an inch perfect serve at 130 mph against the top players in the world is tough enough, but hitting a target racing past you at 160 mph was the toughest and most unique match I’ve had,” said Murray

McEnroe only revealed himself at the end of the challenge and judging by Murray’s reaction, the reveal was real.

“I wasn’t going easy on Andy. You can see from his reaction when he realized it was me. It was priceless! I’ve seen him react badly before, but nothing quite like that,” added the former World No.1 before stating that he was a bit nervous to drive the F-TYPE SVR.

Murray, who apparently already owns a Jaguar F-TYPE Coupe and has placed an order for the new F-PACE as well, is currently getting ready to fight for his second Wimbledon title.

“I have played my best ever tennis on clay this year, and my form is as good now as it has been over the last couple of years.”

All we know is he can be very accurate with his serve. Even when up against a fast moving target.
