Jeep has teamed up with USA Basketball and Sony/ATV Music in order to put together three spots promoting the launch of their third annual summer brand campaign.
Two of the three new spots feature USA Basketball and Indiana Pacers superstar Paul George, who even went as far as to showcase a couple of his moves on the basketball court.
The campaign gets going with two new 30-second clips featuring George – “4x4Summer” and “What I Stand 4”, where the latter shows the NBA player with his family and friends as he talks about what inspired him throughout his basketball journey. Music is provided by Sony/ATV’s Morgan Dorr who adapted Jeep’s “4x4ever” track to fit the summertime.
A third spot called “4 New Perspective” will soon debut, celebrating Hispanic culture while also featuring music influenced by the original Morgan Dorr “4x4ever” song.
“Our Super Bowl spots set the stage for celebrating the Jeep brand’s 75th anniversary this year – with ‘Portraits’ serving as an acknowledgment of the brand’s worldwide community and ‘4x4ever’ bringing to life in song the attitude of Jeep vehicles’ off-road soul and on-road performance,” said Olivier Francois, CMO for FCA. “Our summer campaign continues this theme through a unique alignment combining the power of a custom music platform from Sony, USA Basketball Men’s National Team finalist Paul George, the USAB team and our special-edition 75th Anniversary vehicles. ‘4x4summer,’ ‘What I Stand 4’ and ‘4 New Perspective’ serve to fuel the dreams and aspirations of adventurers all around the world during one of our favorite seasons while marking a milestone year for the Jeep brand.”
USA Basketball will hold a showcase this year ahead of the Olympics where they will play Argentina, China (twice), Venezuela and Nigeria between July 22nd and August 1st.
