Since we learned that Dom and his friends (family) would be taking their talents to Iceland for the latest installment of the Fast & Furious franchise, it was only a matter of time until we also found out what they would be driving over there.
If the street racing they’ll be doing in Cuba involves lots of vintage cars, it seems that action in Iceland will revolve around a bunch of machines highly capable of dealing with both snow and ice. We say machines instead of cars because one of them looks more like a tank. We are of course talking about the so-called ‘Ripsaw’ which will be driven by Tej – the gang’s go-to guy when it comes to tech.
To be fair, the Ripsaw isn’t exactly a tank, but it is currently being hailed as something that can handle “all-terrain combat”. So…tank-ish?
Moving on, Dom (Vin Diesel) will be behind the wheel of a highly modified Dodge ‘Ice’ Charger, which is always to be expected when it comes to this character – a big fan of muscle cars since the very first F&F movie. Letty (Michelle Rodriguez) on the other hand will be driving the “Rally Fighter”, which is supposedly quick, gritty and agile.
One car that looks a bit in over its head here is Roman’s ride, which is an orange Lamborghini Murcielago. The justification behind it is that Tyrese Gibson’s character “is all about speed and always rolls in style”, though we can’t imagine it being able to take the same pounding as any of the previous three cars.
The final “car” being teased is called the ‘Ice Ram’ and it will be driven by Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson), who’s known for using the occasional military vehicle over things that may be a bit too exotic for him.
