Mercedes-AMG is teasing the new GT R like there’s no tomorrow, and after hearing its growl with a parrot in the main frame, they’ve come up another jungle video.
Its public unveiling is scheduled for the 2016 Goodwood Festival of Speed on June 24, so don’t expect to see it just yet, as the exclusive green shade does its job camouflaging the car between trees.
Aimed against the likes of the McLaren 570S, the GT-R is reportedly 15 PS (100 HP) and 100 Nm (74 lb-ft) more powerful than its British rival, but that doesn’t necessarily make it faster, as the 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint is said to take 3.6 seconds, 0.4 slower than the Woking-made sports car.
Placed above the AMG GT and AMG GT S, the new model promises to sport a more aggressive body kit, complemented by improved brakes, suspension and steering, as well as more power at 585PS (577hp)
Development of the 3-pointed star’s AMG GT family is believed to expand with the addition of a fourth model, a possible Black Series, which was hinted by the AMG chief, Tobias Moers, a couple of months ago.
