After announcing their Phase 1 upgrades for the all-new Focus RS at the beginning of May, tuning firm Mountune has just taken things a step further.
Where Phase 1 focused more on styling upgrades and bolt-on performance parts, Phase 2 is about improving and maintaining performance with the help of a power enhancing induction kit ($499), charge pipe kit ($499), intercooler ($999) and re-circulation valve ($169), plus additional chassis and transmission upgrades.
As before, the tuner says it tested all of the products at the Nurburgring, as well as on the dyno and over the course of “tens of thousands” of miles with the help of several development vehicles.
On their official blog, Mountune released a video depicting their Phase 2 modifications while directly addressing the customers with the following message:
“Customers waiting for news on our forthcoming power upgrade will be reassured to know, the wait is very nearly over, as will be seen in our final launch instalment. Whilst we appreciate that the lack of news is frustrating to a great number of you, we’re sure you’ll all understand why when details are revealed as part of Phase 3 launch… and hope that you’ll also agree that the wait was certainly worth it.”
The video shows the team installing the new parts in the Focus RS and at the end we even get to hear how aggressive the car sounds thanks to all the mods.
