While these two can be considered direct rivals, there are certain differences between them that make this drag race rather unorthodox.
The one that’s instantly obvioys is that the one’s a coupe and the other a convertible – not that the 650S Spider is any less competitive.
On the contrary, its 650 PS and 678 Nm (500 lb-ft) of torque makes it the most potent of the two, hitting the 100 km/h (62 mph) mark in 3 seconds flat before maxing out at 333 km/h (206 km/h).
The Huracan, on the other hand makes due with 610 PS and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque, resulting in a 3.2-second 0-100 km/h (62 mph) sprint time and a top speed of 325 km/h (201 mph).
So, it’s a pretty even race, but you never quite know how things are going to unfold until the cars have a chance to put all that power down properly. The Huracan does have all-wheel drive, which should help it launch off the line better than the rear-wheel drive McLaren, but is it enough to make up for its power handicap?
