The 2017 Honda Accord is scheduled to hit US showrooms this Monday, featuring a new ‘Sport’ special edition sedan version, as prices for the entire range are set to start from $22,355.
Customers interested in more premium features should know that the ‘Sport’ comes with heated leather seats with red stitching, as well as ‘Special Edition’ badging.
“Accord continues to set the bar in its class with customers making it the top retail selling car in America for three years running,” said Honda VP Jeff Conrad. “We’re proud to offer an expanded lineup with the new Sport Special Edition and the 2017 Accord Hybrid as we continue to advance Accord’s position as a true benchmark in its class, offering an unbeatable combination of style, efficiency, fun-to-drive performance and connectivity in the midsize sedan segment.”
The Accord received significant changes for its 2016 model year version, like the new styling, a more rigid body, upgraded chassis and bigger wheels on select models. For 2017, Honda carried over the expanded LED exterior lighting as well as features such as the 7″ touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, HD Radio, heated rear seats, plus front and rear parking sensors.
Furthermore, the 2017 Accord can be equipped with Honda Sensing, which is what led directly to it securing a 5-star overall score from the NHTSA. Honda is currently also targeting a Top Safety Pick+ from the IIHS.
