Regardless of what you may have thought about this Veyron replica that showed up at a Cars & Coffee event last month, it’s kind of starting to look amazing right about now, isn’t it?
If it is, it’s only because the “replica” right here is about as faithful to the original product as the second Predator movie was to the first one – here’s a hint, not at all!
This car apparently belongs to Sant Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Insan, the leader of a non-profit spiritual organization from Sirsa, Haryana, called Dera Sacha Sauda.
Aside from being a spiritual leader, Sant Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Insan is also a social reformer, preacher and even actor, but most relevant to our story, a car enthusiast with a passion for modified cars – on which he allegedly works on himself .
Underneath the dual-tone green and yellow color scheme is an older-generation Honda Accord, missing its rear seats. According to Motoroids, the interior was “handcrafted” and features the same color scheme as the exterior, which would probably be more evident if the car didn’t also come with tinted windows.
Among its more notable features are the rear-view camera, integrated audio system with steering-mounted controls and the leather seat upholstery. You’ll also find integrated turn indicators, projector headlamps and multi-spoke alloys, topped off by the brake discs with green calipers.
Underneath the hood there’s a 3.5-liter V6 petrol engine, mated to an automatic transmission. We reckon performance isn’t exactly on par with that of the real thing though.
So, has the heart-shaped front grille won you over yet?
