Paving the road for one of the most technologically advanced hypercars the automotive industry came up with, the Porsche 918 Spyder, the Carrera GT remains a true collector’s car.

Produced in a limited number and powered by a 5.7-liter V10 engine, massaged to deliver 605 HP and 435 lb-ft (590 Nm) of torque to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission, which was the sole choice, this particular example left the assembly lines in Leipzig in 2005 wearing a Basalt Black paint over a Dark Grey interior.

Even by modern standards, its ability to go from naught to sixty (96 km/h) in just 3.6 seconds and up to a top speed of 205 mph (330 km/h) makes it highly competitive. Add up the fact that it was driven for just 152 miles (245 km) since new and you have a winning recipe here.

This one will set its future owner back for an estimated $1.1-$1.4 million when it will hit the auction block at Mecum’s event, between August 18 and 20.
