When it comes to the world of high-end modern exotics, there are only a few choices a true collector would spend millions, just to drive them once or twice a year, on a sunny Sunday afternoon.
Among the extremely powerful machines produced in a limited number that are a “must” for those with deep pockets, a particular Aston Martin stands out, and it’s not the Vulcan nor the recently unveiled AM-RB 001, but the One-77, which took the 2009 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este by storm, where it celebrated its world premiere.
Combining advanced technology, a front-mounted 7.3-liter V12 engine, massaged to deliver 760 PS (749 HP) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque, and an appealing design, the supercar, which was limited to just 77 examples, used to be the fastest-ever Aston Martin, with a top speed of 354 km/h (220 mph) and a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint made in under 3.7 seconds.
Assembled in 2011 and with two owners registered in the book, this example is on the lookout for a third one. The vendor didn’t provide a long list of details in the ad posted on Mobile, but did mention that it has 1,800 km (1,118 miles) on the clock.
The asking price is €2,960,000, or $3,258,400 at the current exchange rates, which pops the ultimate question: would you spend that money on an Aston Martin or would you rather go for something even hotter like, let’s say, a Ferrari LaFerrari?
