As far as we know, this is the first time an Alfa Romeo Giulia has been spotted in China undergoing tests.
According to Carnewschina, this black Giulia was wearing only light camouflage and featured a temporary license plate behind the rear window. Judging from its rear, we can also tell you that it’s definitely not the QV version.
Could it be that FCA will be selling the Giulia after all in China some time in the future? With other FCA models such as the Renegade, Cherokee, Fiat Ottimo and Viaggo already being produced by the Guangzhou-Fiat joint venture, adding the Giulia to that list would certainly not be out of the question.
Of course, bringing the Giulia over to China would be extremely costly for FCA, as they’d need to invest not only in a new dealer network, but also an extensive ad campaign in order to spread the word.
If it will happen, hopefully it will go much better than their last attempt from 2011 when Alfa wanted to market the MiTo and the Giulietta over there.
