Even though the third generation Range Rover retired in 2012, it opened a luxurious path for the current model.

Over its 10-year production period, the L322 Range Rover set new standards in the luxury-SUV segment, receiving many accolades in the process. Even Jeremy Clarkson praised it, calling the SUV the “best car in the world and best 4×4”, while referring to his own TDV8.

So, even if it’s a bit outdated, the model still has some bite left in it, and Carbon Motors decided to take full advantage of the car’s luxurious characteristics and presence. That’s why the Bulgarian company teamed up with UK posh tuner Onyx Concept, and together created this imposing-looking beast.

While all its exterior enhancements are signed by Onyx, starting with the body-kit and ending with the ginormous wheels, the vehicle’s cabin is Carbon Motors’ creation. The Bulgarian firm wanted to keep the cabin’s classy looks intact, so it focused mostly on the materials. The final result keeps the Range Rover’s familiarity, but it’s completely changed thanks to a combination of teak brown and black leather, as well as decorative stitching and carbon coated trim elements. The headliner and pillars are in black Alcantara, while Carbon Motors says that even the cup-holder is “carbon-fiberized”.

While the details are beautifully crafted, the vehicle’s interior shows its age even with a touch of bespoke. Even if it can’t be compared to JLR’s latest and greatest, it’s nice to see tuners still taking an interest in the “old” Brit.
