Want to see 50 Huracans in one place? Then you should check out the Spa-Francorchamps circuit this weekend, where the Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo will be holding its fourth European round of the season.
The organizers of the spec racing series have announced that no fewer than 50 cars will line up for the race – all of them identically prepared examples of the Lamborghini Huracan LP620-2 Super Trofeo that replaced the Gallardo last year.
The anticipated grid will set a new record for what’s already the largest one-make racing series, eclipsing the grids you’d expect to see in rival series like the Ferrari Challenge or Porsche Supercup.
The Lamborghini Super Trofeo is now in its eighth season. Parallel series compete in North America, in Europe, and in Asia, with the World Finals taking place at a different circuit each year. The first World Finals were held in 2013 at Vallelunga in Italy, followed by Sepang in Malaysia and Sebring in Florida last year. This year’s is set to take place in Valencia, Spain the first weekend in December.
