As it enters its final development stage, the upcoming E63 AMG was spotted lapping the Nurburgring.
The high-performance executive sedan continues keeping its front and rear fascias hidden away as it didn’t want to sweat too much while going round and round the German track.
However these wraps can’t hide the E63’s aggressive silhouette, which mirrors the design of AMG’s other four-door offerings like the C63 and S63. Expect a similar grille, redone front bumper with wider air intakes and a subtle diffuser incorporating quad exhaust pipes. Chassis revisions will include beefed-up suspension, larger brakes and meatier steering.
The new super sedan is expected to be powered from the familiar 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, offered with two outputs: 571 PS (563 HP) and a whopping 612 PS (604 HP). The engine will be paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission that will channel power exclusively to all four corners, as we learned recently from AMG’s boss himself.
As far as the 0-100 km/h (62 mph) sprint goes, this should take just under 4 seconds, while top speed will, traditionally, be electronically limited to 250 km/h (155 mph).
