The Megane has always been available in sedan form, starting with the first one all the way back in 1995, and it’s currently on its fourth generation that unveiled two days ago.

Throughout its history, the Megane Sedan has been called a great number of things, both good and bad. The only thing you could never really call it was sporty, which is where a GT version would play in rather well if Renault indeed decided on utilizing something more potent than their dCi 130 or TCe 130 units that are, right now, available.

Design-wise, the render seems simple enough to figure out. X-Tomi took the five-door GT’s exterior features and added them to the body of the new saloon to create the most sporty-looking four-door Megane ever.

Whether or not it would sell is another story altogether, one that we hope you guys can shine a light on by letting us know if you’d ever consider buying this car as opposed to, say, a Skoda Octavia vRS.

In terms of performance, if the Megane Sedan GT would come to be, it would get the hatchback’s 205 PS (202 HP) four-pot and dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
