Opel is entering the 2017 MY with a special offering that includes new Active special models in Germany.
From the Corsa to the Cascada, the brand is now expanding the options available for eight model lines, which “impress with their combinations of popular comfort, design and functional features”, as Opel explains in the short text that accompanies the images.
Starting from €11,990 ($13,420) and with a price advantage of up to €1,010 ($1,130) over a regular equipped model, the Karl Active is the most affordable in the range and, along with the Corsa, Mokka X, Meriva and Zafira, is identifiable by its specially designed Active badge, but in addition, the two superminis also feature Active fabric upholstery, in black.
Four trim packages – Comfort, Travel, Sporty and Design, are also part of the equipment list on the entire range, but the latter two cannot be carried onto the Mokka X.
The 2016 Car of the Year titleholder, the Astra, can also be had in the Active edition, from €21,010 ($23,517), with a price advantage of €2,580 ($2,888), while its sportier sibling, the GTC, comes from €21,970 ($24,592), followed by the Mokka X, which costs €22,380 ($25,050) in this configuration. The range-topping Cascada Active will set you back for at least €32,255 ($36,104). All prices mentioned are available for the German market.
