In addition to taking a different route to the full-size, the 2017 Nissan Armada also appears to be going after the value angle.
Nissan announced Friday prices for the new Armada, which we’ve already determined is the Nissan Patrol for Americans.
As previously stated when I drove the 2017 Armada last month, the base SV model will start at $45,395, including the $995 destination charge. Leather-lined SL versions start from $50,145. And the top Platinum model, with lots of chrome and a rear entertainment system, goes from $58,085.
Adding four-wheel drive is a $2,900 option on all models, but only Platinum models get a full-time version.
Even the base SV is pretty well-equipped for the class, with standard navigation, heated front seats and a 13-speaker Bose audio system. And all versions get a fairly muscular 5.6-liter V8 with 390 horsepower and a seven-speed automatic.
The 2017 Armada is on sale now.
