Despite the challenging conditions, Audi AG’s global operations have increased year-to-date by 5.2 percent worldwide, to 1,102,650 units, led by Europe, China and the USA, in this order; last month alone, it delivered 149,400 units, up 2.3 percent over July 2015.

In Europe, demand in markets such as Italy, Spain and Germany has increased by 28.6 percent, 13.8 percent and 6.9 percent respectively, while in France and the UK, deliveries dropped by 3.1 percent and 9.9 percent, respectively, last month.

In North America, the automaker departed with 1,374 vehicles in Mexico (up 18.7 percent) and 2,451 units in Canada (up 14.7 percent) in July. In the United States, the company’s sales went up by 4.0 percent, to 18,364 cars, led not by the extensive lineup of SUVs, but by the latest-gen A4, which was Audi’s most successful model globally.

In the Asia-Pacific region, China remains, unsurprisingly, Audi’s largest market, with 46,454 vehicles last month, up 9.9 percent. The People’s Republic favored the A3 Sedan, Q3, Q5 and Q7, and sales are predicted to reach new heights once the A4 L will be launched in the next few weeks.
