Do you wish you could live a racing driver’s dream? Traum Motorsport and Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus might be what you’re looking for.
No, the two companies aren’t looking for a talented driver, but can provide an experience that gets very, very close to the real thing. Traum Motorsport, in association with Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus, is launching its customer racing program that’ll allow “gentleman drivers” to get behind the wheel of the SCG003C.
According to Endurance-Info, the team will offer customers the possibility to race the 530 hp and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm) of torque, 3.5-litre, Honda-powered V6 racer in endurance or sprint events at single races (or an entire season from September), with the same level of support given to the factory cars.
Drivers will be given a unique opportunity to be a part of a professional factory outfit in some of the world’s best-known endurance races, with Traum Motorsport offering three packages (Base, Expert, and Professional) depending on the customer’s needs. They can even offer bespoke services.
Each package comes with a crew of 16 people, paddock area services, radios, spare parts, fuel, tires, as well as technical support ranging from telemetry to data analysis and engine support on site.
The first event will be the Zolder round of the DMV/GTC Sprint Series in Belgium, from September 2-3.
But wait, doesn’t Ferrari offer a similar program? Yes, it does, but there are is ton of customer-ready 458/488 racers out there, in contrast to the the much rarer SCG.
