Historic and modern Bentley cars will be on display at the Windsor Castle, as part of the 2016 Concours d’Elegance.
From the 1930 Six-Speed Van den Plas Tourer ‘Old Number 2’ to the fresh Mulsanne Extended Wheelbase and the brand’s first ever SUV, the Bentayga, visitors to the special event, which will be hosted from September 2 to 4, should feel right at home in between some of the most iconic cars signed by the band from Crewe.
On the first day of the 2016 Concours d’Elegance, the manufacturer will showcase the Mulsanne Chassis No. 2, described as “a perfect example of the first Mulsanne produced”, which will be joined under the sky at the Windsor Castle by the modern Mulsanne Speed, with its 537 PS (530 HP) and 1,100 Nm (811 lb-ft) of torque, and the Mulsanne Extended Wheelbase, which offers an additional 250 mm (9.8 in) of rear legroom.
Bentley will celebrate the Queen’s 90th year by exhibiting three cars launched during her lifetime, on the same day, which include the first examples of the Continental GT and Bentayga to roll off the assembly line, along with Her Majesty’s State Limousine, which was the official transport of The Sovereign on the occasion of The Queen’s Golden Jubilee.
