For some, it’s impossible to leave a car meet without stroking your own ego and trying to show off your car and your driving skills. Well for a Corvette owner from Vilnius, Lithuania, things didn’t exactly go to plan while doing a burnout after exiting an event last week.
Eager to show that the 20+ year old muscle car still has it, the driver lights up the rear tires as he pulls away. Clearly surprised by the slide, he overcorrects it causing the Corvette to fishtail in the other direction and towards oncoming traffic.
The driver panics, touches the brakes, overcorrects once again and sends the bright red C4 into a bus stop on the side of the road.
Fortunately for the owner, the damage suffered to the car isn’t that significant. The impact was strong enough however to rip a wooden bench off its steel supports while tearing up and cracking the surrounding concrete.
The cost of the repairs to the car and the local council shouldn’t be too excessive. The cost to his ego? Priceless.
