A key researcher from Apple’s ‘Project Titan’ car project has been poached by Faraday Future reports The Detroit Bureau.
It is thought that the ambitious startup electric automaker has lured away Bart Nabbe who has been part of Apple’s car project for the past two years.
While Nabbe’s previous responsibilities within Apple are hard to pinpoint, it is thought that he was heading up the firm’s autonomous outdoor navigation systems while also working on artificial intelligence and embedded systems.
Faraday Future is slowly cementing its position as a key player in the electric car field even though it has yet to release its first production car, only so far unveiling an out-of-this-world electric hypercar concept.
In recent months, the company has landed a selection of industry-leading thinkers including key engineers from General Motors and even Marco Mattiacci, the man who once headed Ferrari North America and Ferrari Asia Pacific. The designer of the BMW i8 and i3 is also within its ever-increasing team.
