Pumping out 1,050 PS (1,036 HP) and more than 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque, the FXX K is Ferrari’s ultimate, customer-dedicated machine. At least for now.

The hybridized V12 hypercar is LaFerrari’s extreme track-only sibling, and it’s packed full with the Prancing Horse’s state-of-the-art tech. Ferrari uses the model as a development mule for future road cars, lending it to wealthy clients who want to live their racing fantasies.

But getting your very own XX car is not a walk in the park, not matter how deep your pockets are, as Enrico Galliera, the man in charge of the rarefied series explains to Top Gear.

“They drive their Ferrari on a track, decide they like it, then they enter the Corsa Clienti training, and we can bring them up to a race license level. Then maybe they have a go in the 458 Challenge car and the Challenge series, and after that they can choose between the XX program or driving our F1 cars.”

The FXX K is (for now) the ultimate evolution of the program, as the FXX and 599XX are the entry-level cars in the series. From there, each client can grow and buy a new car, especially as the FXX K, like its predecessors, will probably have an updated, faster Evoluzione variant.

Galliera says they aren’t working on such a model right now, but after completing FXX K deliveries the company will think of ways to improve it.

“You know, the philosophy of the company is that as soon as we introduce a new product, we then immediately start working on how we can improve it next time. […] As soon as our technical development identify something that can make a big improvement, we will evaluate it, but at the moment we don’t have anything…”

Hard to imagine they are sitting idle, isn’t it?
