An ex-Disney executive and imaginative designer has rendered a bespoke variant of the Rolls-Royce Wraith which will soon hit the market.
Penned by Eddie Sotto, the Wraith ‘Regatta’ has been inspired by an $83 million private jet Sotto is planning to have built, dubbed the Skyacht One. The Wraith Regetta has been designed as a road-going extension of that jet, promising to transfer many of its luxuries onto the street.
According to Sotto himself, “I wanted to bring a car up to the level of the Skyacht aircraft. It’s not a reproduction of a Rolls-Royce, but it’s a return to that handmade finish and Old World craftsmanship you’d expect in a car like that. Exposed joinery and craftsmanship like this are so rare in today’s world.”
From the outside, the Wraith Regetta can be differentiated from a run-of-the-mill example thanks to the installation of mahogany across the hood, roof and the rear decklid. Complementing the mahogany is satin-finished aluminum trim and a set of silver wheels with subtle red and gold accents.
The interior continues the opulent theme with brass inlays, a host of additional wooden elements and even a number of controls with various jewels within.
Sotto has enlisted the help of Aria Group to bring the Regetta to the street. Customers will hand over their Wraith to the fabrication firm who will charge over $700,000 for the modifications.
