The feeding habits of the all-new Mercedes-AMG E63 Sedan were recorded as the animal was caught on video refueling at a petrol station, right before heading out for the jungles of the Green Hell.
Merc’s super sedan has its sights set on the BMW M5, in a never-ending rivalry that promises to squeeze what’s best from both vehicles, but before finding out which one is faster, corners better and is better to live with, the E63 AMG still has to go through some adjustments, and so does Bavaria’s powerful executive model, which is set to gain a replacement next year.
With an aggressive silhouette that puts it closer in design to other four-door offerings from AMG, such as the C63 and S63, the E63 AMG will be instantly recognizable over the standard variant, which is already on sale, and if this isn’t enough to do the job, then the 4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine will definitely transform it into a head-turner.
The familiar mill, which debuted on the AMG GT sports car and made its way across other AMG models in the meantime, will set the range-topping E-Class in motion and will be offered in two outputs, rated at 571 PS (563 HP) and 612 PS (604 HP), respectively. Power will be channeled to the four-wheel drive system solely through a 9-speed automatic transmission, while the 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint time of less than 4 seconds will make old supercars envious.
