A police officer has been fired after being caught on camera flirting with a female civilian, reported to be as young as 17-years-old.
The video was posted to Facebook and shows the officer suggestively talking to the woman from the driver’s seat of his marked patrol vehicle.
In the clip, the officer from the Jackson Police Department can be seen giving his personal cell phone number to the woman and saying that he’s “going to take care of [her]” and “I wanna do more than talk” while suggesting that the two should get “a room”.
As soon as the video surfaced online, the Jackson Police Department conducted an internal investigation and initially decided to strip him off his police officer duties and put him on administrative desk duty, says WAPT. Soon after, he was terminated.
The family of the female victim claim she is just 17-years-old, but her Facebook indicates she is 26. Either way, a commander from the department said the language used was grossly inappropriate hence the decision to fire the officer.
