Not only is the Porsche Cayman GT4 one of the most desirable driver’s cars in the world, it’s also exceptionally quick, both around a track as well as in a straight line.
With 385 PS and 420 Nm (309 lb-ft) of torque, the GT4 sprints to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.4 seconds, despite not being exactly a lightweight at 1,415 kg (3,119 lbs).
It would take a vehicle either a lot more powerful, or sufficiently powerful but a lot lighter, in order to subdue the GT4, especially in a drag race across a pit straight from a rolling start.
What takes places in this video is straight out of one of those previously mentioned scenarios – except that it’s no ultra-light track missile challenging the Porsche, but a truck that weighs no less than 5,350 kg (11,794 lbs).
This Freightliner Race Truck belongs to team Buggyra Racing and puts out 1,050 PS and an immense 5,500 Nm (4,056 lb-ft) of torque.
It’s an impressive machine, but is it quick enough to outrun a GT4? You bet…
