The Phantom DHC is nearing the end of its lifecycle. But before it sails off into the sunset, Rolls-Royce is giving a few final special editions – like this latest Beverly Hills Edition.
Commissioned by the dealership in the swanky Los Angeles-area enclave, the Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe Beverly Hills Edition was presented at Pebble Beach this past weekend. It features a rather… um, eye-catching treatment, painted in Orange Metallic with a silver-tone trim, matching orange wheel hubs, and an open cockpit upholstered in Mandarin leather wand trimmed in Piano Black veneers.
The result, according to the manufacturer, is “as vivid as the sun setting on the Pacific Coast Highway” and “made for cruising down” the same, but to our eye looks like it would be equally well suited towards an outing on Halloween.
Goodwood introduced the Drophead Coupe back in 2007, and is now winding down production. A new generation of Phantom is soon to arrive, and may breed a convertible variant of its own. But in the meantime, the rich and famous will have to content themselves with the smaller but newer Dawn, based on the same platform as the Wraith and Ghost.
