It took a while to get rid of the Soviet era, boxy vehicle design, but now Lada is getting ready to step into the future with a new SUV.
Teased on the company’s official Facebook page, the XCode subcompact SUV concept is a huge leap into the 21st century for the Russians in terms of styling. The timing is spot-on, too, for parent company AutoVAZ celebrates its 50th anniversary, being founded in 1966.
The production model that is expected to come sometime next year will take on the likes of the Nissan Juke and Peugeot 2008.
At the moment, there is no further info. We’ll have it in less than a week, though, for it will be officially revealed on August 24 at the Moscow Motor Show.
