Tesla is looking to expand its supercharger stations with the addition of environmentally-friendly car washing services.
The automaker is said to be in talks with Eco Green Auto Clean about a nationwide collaboration, offering personalized car wash services at its superchargers. Eco Green Auto Clean is a logical choice for Tesla to team up with, as its car washing process uses less than a cup of water thanks to the use of a biodegradable auto wash spray and microfiber towels.
The project is currently being tested at Tesla’s employee supercharger at its Fremony Factory.
If the test proves popular, Electrek believes that the service will be rolled out at other Superchargers. Owners of the Model S will apparently need to pay an $80 a month fee for the service while an extra $10 will alloy Model X owners to enjoy two hand car washes per month.
