The Ultima GTR is a car unlike any other. Anyone can build a GTR in their garage and fit it with one of numerous engines available, including some Chevrolet V8s churning out in excess of 1,000 hp. It’s certainly no slouch then.
In fact, the GTR is ridiculously fast even when fitted with an entry-level 300 hp engine and its back-to-basics setup means that all the power is sent to the rear wheels without any kind of traction control. This means it can be quite a handful on city streets as one owner in Russia recently discovered.
Filmed by a nearby motorist’s dash cam, the blacked-out Ultima can be seen exiting a roundabout before the driver applies just a little too much throttle. This kicks out the tail of the track-oriented racer and sends it across one lane of traffic and straight over the curb.
It can then be seen narrowly missing a wall as it spins back onto the street and into a stationary car travelling in the opposite direction.
Visually, the video shows that the GTR has suffered severe damage to both the passenger side front and rear wheels as well as a broken quarter panel on the passenger side.
Fortunately for the Ultima owner, replacement parts for the GTR aren’t all that expensive to come by so this should be a relatively easy fix, as long as no suspension or chassis damage has been done.
