Golf can become tedious if you convey from hole to hole around the course , so why not make things much more interesting with a jetpack?

To celebrate golf’s return to the Olympic Games, after a 112-year hiatus, Oakley came up with a brand new “invention” for the sport: The first ever Golf Cart Jetpack. If you were looking for a reason to start playing the club and ball sport, look no further.

Two-time Masters champion and currently one of the top five golfers in the world, Bubba Watson, is known for pushing the boundaries of golf. For instance, three years ago, Bubba and Oakley teamed up to create the world’s first Golf Cart Hovercraft.

And we reckon that Bubba probably wants to transform golf into an extreme sport, because the jetpack idea is the most outrageous one yet. Sure, the jetpack will enable golfers to see what they’ve been missing out on the course thanks to a bird’s-eye view, but with a bespoke rotary 210 horsepower engine that allows it to climb as high as 3,000 ft (914 meters) with air speeds up to 46 mph (74 km/h), the players won’t stick to terrain analyzing.

The contraption came to be after three years of collaboration with Martin Aircraft Company, and features space for clubs, sand bottle holders and everything else you need for a great round. Pricing starts at $200,000, but before flying the Jetpack, proper training and certifications are required; so you could watch out for the birdie. Get it? You would if you drove a Lexus.
