Ad agencies have to think outside the box and enter uncharted territories to get our attention.
Sometimes, this means that consumers will either be baffled or amused by the short footage that usually takes weeks to complete, but trying to figure out where this video fits is rather difficult to accomplish, especially since it includes the long arm of the law doing some carjacking.
The main idea behind the short commercial is obvious: the Dacia Sandero is so appealing that even a policeman cannot resist it, and if former Top Gear presenter James May would have been around, he’d probably start reporting it with: “Good news! The Dacia Sandero has cops breaking the law!”
While the Romanian automaker, which was raised by the Renault Group to new records ever since the 1999 acquisition was completed, is now focusing on promoting the second generation Sandero in France with videos like this one, there is a facelifted version of the hatchback that is just around the corner. Expected to carry a few styling upgrades, which will be adopted by the Logan sedan shortly after, the refreshed model could be ready in time for the 2016 Paris Auto Show.
