While rich collectors, petrol heads and dealers are falling head over heels for the Bugatti Chiron, the all-conquering Veyron remains a very attractive buy on the used car market.

Standard Veyron 16.4 models can easily be had for less than $2 million, well below the $2.7 million U.S. base price for the Chiron and unlike the Chiron, the Veyron has proven its self time and time again as the world’s fastest production car. All of this combined makes the following Veyron for sale from James Edition in Dubai that little more interesting.

For starters, the French hypercar has been painted in a stunning shade of pearl red, a very rare color for the Veyron and one which suits it to a tee. The car has also been fitted with the bolder front bumper of the Veyron Super Sport and looks particularly devilish with the black grilles and air vents, wheels and the murdered out roof and air intakes.

Inside, the red and black theme continues with red leather adorning the dashboard, seats, steering column and gauge cluster. Elsewhere within are a number of black alcantara and leather finishes, particularly across the transmission tunnel and steering wheel.

With 19,000 km on the clock, this 2012 Veyron is one of the highest mileage examples we’ve come across. That’s not necessarily a bad thing however, meaning a buyer should be able to snap it up for a bargain. Or a “bargain” we should say…
