Recent spy photographs of next year’s Peugeot 308 suggest that the French compact hatch will get a very mild facelift
Aside from maybe different taillight graphics, the rear-end will remain unchanged. The front, however, will be getting a new bumper, which might be something a little more aggressive, similar to the one depicted here in this RM Design render.
The grille will also display a different pattern surrounding the lion logo, but other than that, we might just be looking at new wheel models, new colors, a slightly upgraded interior and very little else.
Powering the facelifted 308 should be a series of new or upgraded engines, allowing for better fuel economy and lower CO2 emissions (two must-haves) in a segment that won’t be receiving the likes of the all-new Ford Focus or the VW Golf for a while now.
The 308 currently resides 5th in overall sales within its segment in Europe.Through August of 2016, the Peugeot compact model’s sales have gone up, with the 308 trailing Ford’s Focus by only 6.000 units.
