High tariffs and the massive local industry results in imports being not as common in Japan as in other markets. This, however, hasn’t stopped foreign carmakers from launching one special edition after another in an attempt to attract more customers and boost their image.
The latest comes from Cadillac that has just launched a series of White Editions solely for the Land of the Rising Sun. The treatment is available on the ATS coupe, ATS sedan and CTS sedan, all of which – as you might have guessed – feature a special Crystal White exterior paint.
The ATS comes with light gray leather seats, offset by high-gloss wood trim and an electric sunroof, while the CTS goes with a two-tone brown and black interior and natural elm wood trim.
A total of twenty examples will be offered, starting at ¥5,850,000 (~$56k) for the ATS sedan, ¥5,950,000 ($57k) for the ATS coupe, and ¥8,000,000 ($77k) for the CTS.
