If anything, Porsche has a long and distinguished involvement in motorsport, taking more victories in endurance races at Le Mans, Sebring, and Daytona than any other manufacturer in history.
When they reach “retirement”, some continue to roll their wheels in anger in various events, such as the Historic Grand Prix at Zandvoort that was once home to the Dutch Grand Prix in Formula 1.
Porsche brought together some of its most accomplished (and most beautiful) classic racers together for the event. There’s plenty to see, including a 917 and 935 from the 1970s, a 962 from the ’80s, a 911 GT1 from the ’90s, and a smattering of other 911s – which, of course, you can check out in the photo gallery and video below.
