The brand new Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta has been snapped on the streets of Barcelona, Spain during filming of its official promo.
Finished in the firm’s customary shade of Rosso Corsa, the model pictured confirms reports that the car would be dubbed the LaFerrari Aperta, rather than the LaFerrari Spider, as evidenced by the rear license plate.
Additionally, the model can be seen sporting a small badge on the side skirt commemorating Ferrari’s 70th anniversary, set to be celebrated next year. This suggests that the Aperta’s market launch will be in 2017. The final small tweak over the coupe are the addition of silver pin stripes across the exterior.
Of course, the main difference between the Aperta and the coupe will be the former’s lack of a fixed roof. This particular example has been installed with a carbon fiber removable hardtop but it is thought that a soft-top will also be available.
Production of the LaFerrari Aperta is expected to be capped at just 150 units and it is claimed that at least one allocation has already traded hands for almost $6 million.
