Fiat and its performance brand Abarth are heading to next week’s Paris Auto Show with their latest models.
Having already secured more than 3,000 orders over the past three months, the new Fiat 500 Riva coupe and convertible models with unique features both inside and out will be on display in Paris where they will be joined by the all-new Fiat Tipo family in sedan, hatchback and wagon body styles, offering a new dual-clutch automatic paired to a 1.6-liter MultiJet II diesel engine.
The all-new 500S slots right under the Abarth models and comes with a host of visual updates, sitting on 15-inch rims and taking power from either a 0.9-liter TwinAir two-cylinder petrol engine, a 1.2-liter petrol mill or a 1.3-liter MutliJet turbodiesel.
Making a comeback with a new special edition named ‘America’, the Fiat 124 Spider can be had with retro-flavored 17-inch alloy wheels and rear baggage rack, developed by Mopar. It also features a celebratory plaque on the grille, and marks the debut of a 6-speed automatic transmission. The Fiat 124 Spider America is also equipped with the Premium Pack, which includes a keyless entry system, rearview camera and navigation with 3D maps.
Powered by a 1.6-liter MutliJet 120 PS (118 HP) engine paired to a DCT dual-clutch automatic transmission turning the front wheels, the Fiat 500X will be shown in a three-layer Amalfi Yellow color, together with black mirror caps and diamond wheel rims from the Mopar range. It also has the HiFi Beats By Dr. Dre sound system, with 9 speakers and an 8-channel amplifier.
The Fiat 500 range is completed by the 500L Trekking version with Pack S, in matte silver livery, matte black roof, and black leather and matte silver dashboard inside. The 2017 Panda Cross will complete Fiat’s Paris lineup.
Over at the neighboring Abarth stand, the 170PS (168hp) 124 Spider will be showcased in two examples, one finished in a ‘Turini 1975’ shade that recalls the classic Abarth 124 Rally, while the second one in ‘Costa Brava 1972’ red livery, marking the first time the 124 Spider appears with a one-color paint job. Both cars are equipped with the Visibility Plus and Sound packs. Abarth’s 595, 595 Competizione and 595C Turismo will also be showcased in Paris.
